Your role & work environment

Trade Sales makes part of Transaction Services Sales Belgium. Transaction Services Sales Belgium groups the sales activities in Belgium of Payments & Cash Management, Trade Sales and Development of Employee Financial Instruments.
Trade Sales offers, by the use of documentary credits and Receivables / Payables Finance, solutions to mitigate risks and optimise the working capital chain. Although the instruments documentary credits and collections are not new, Trade Finance Services offers a highly technical and challenging environment with a view on the international (financial - and goods) flows of our clients. On the side of WCS, we are facing one of the most active market in the current banking world ranging from factoring, to sophisticated trade receivables finance programme and supply chain finance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop, follow-up and optimize proactively new and existing corporate client relationships in terms of Trade Finance and Working Capital Solutions (WCS) ;
  • Responsible for achieving the sales objectives of his/her client portfolio;
  • Organize, prepare and visit existing and new corporate clients in view of presenting and negotiating trade finance solutions for the international trade;
  • Coordinate the different stages of the sales process;
  • Ensure that the agreed terms and conditions are being met by all parties;
  • Keep up-to-date his/her expert knowledge of documentary credits and collections / working capital solutions products;
  • Give input to and participate actively in projects aiming at improving existing solutions and/or designing new competitive products and services, playing his/her role as voice of the client in the organization.

  • a Master degree or equivalent by experience;
  • a strong interest in international trade and working capital optimisation;
  • relevant experience ( 3-5 years) in negotiating with business clients;
  • strong negotiations skills;
  • fluency in Dutch, French and English;
  • to travel in Belgium to visit clients.
  • to work with technical products such as documentary credits, bank guaranties, receivables finance and payables finance;
  • to like to working within a team whilst being independent and autonomous;
  • to be strongly customer-oriented and who gets a buzz from closing a deal.
