We are looking for a Senior Agilist to join our Agile Community within our Cognizant Enterprise Engineering Team.

About role

  • As a Senior Agilist, you will guide the modern development team by taking an active role in planning, facilitation and measures to help the team achieve its committed outcomes. This role requires solid, practical experience with the techniques and approaches to guide, support and improve product teams. You will collaborate intensively with your team members and Product Owners. You will also interact with Cognizant clients to mentor, consult, and assist them in making appropriate process decisions and solve any blocking points.
  • Enable the Organization's new ways of working
  • Guide and mentor your squads but also all individuals involved (including Tribe leads and Chapter leads), with a focus on agile work, high performance and achieving results
  • Spreading agile values both at tribe and squad level, helping to build and reinforce the Agile mindset and to embed Agile principles in the day to day work.
  • Develop squads into high performing teams:-Challenging the team on purpose and therefore also on content and results
  • Ensuring clear agreements within the squads and you intervene if those agreements are not met. You ensure that your squads have complete clarity about the method, roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensuring that the squads are familiar with the agile culture that they behave individually and as a team in accordance with that code and that they address each other in a constructive manner.
  • Ensuring that the squad makes decisions efficiently and effectively and that you deal with issues and changes flexibly and creatively
  • Improve cooperation in and between the Tribe(s):-Identifying trends and issues in the cooperation within the Tribe, but also between Tribes and you take action
  • Initiating the conversation about the collaboration between squads in a Tribe, solicited and unsolicited, so that workable agreements are made in line with the agile principles and the model that works
  • Organizing exchange of experiences, best and worst practices, knowledge and information with other Agilists and other Tribes and squads.
  • Onboard and train junior colleagues who are aligned to Agile-Onboarding and training when junior colleagues are becoming aligned to Agile
  • Having an ongoing exchange with junior team members, ensure that they are updated on the latest developments and offerings, and provide guidance
  • Reporting and accountability-Providing objectively verifiable and transparent reports on, among other things, the maturity of squads in the field of agile work and development on team performance
  • Organizing exchange of experiences, best and worst practices, knowledge and information with other Agilists and other Tribes and squads.
  • Onboard and train junior colleagues who are aligned to Agile-Onboarding and training when junior colleagues are becoming aligned to Agile

Our ideal candidate (Key Skills & Experience)

  • Proficiency in Dutch language and English is a must
  • Leading the relevant modern development events with the Cognizant and the client's Product and Technical teams.
  • Partnering and supporting the product owner to guide the POD or team to success and maximize value of the product
  • Guiding the team from legacy process to a Modern Development Process, Lean mindset, behavior and framework for building value
  • Optimizing how the different roles interact with each other to maximize productivity
  • degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years' experience with at least 2 years in Agile Projects or Product development work
  • Agile Certifications such as CSM or PSM or SAFe SM - At least one Scrum Certification required from Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, Scruminc.com or SAFe
  • Understanding of all elements of the software development process, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management with industry standard frameworks like Scrum, Kanban and XP.
  • Experience designing and deploying software within the limits of performance guidelines
  • Experience designing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints.
  • Experience with continuous integration and test-driven development/design practices.
  • Experience with Visualization tools, ex: Business Process Management tools, Miro & Visio.
  • Experience with Agile Lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience with test automation techniques and tools.
  • Solid interpersonal skills - can establish good relationships and communicate well with teams.
  • Ability to organize, moderate and demonstrate added Agile principles and practices to a team.
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with superb communication (written and verbal), time management, product planning, people and team building skills.
  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of creative principles and ideas.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate discussions and alternatives or different approaches.
  • Ability to bring disclosure and transparency to the business grow business trust.
