IT & Operations Auditor - Brussels

The Audit Department is made up of insightful, proactive and forward-looking auditors. You join a team and participate in the audits carried out by the department for all sectors of activity. You analyze the effectiveness of governance structures and processes and verify that procedures comply with internal laws and rules. In addition to forwarding the audit results to the auditees, you also make recommendations to close the findings, write the audit reports, facilitate the closing meetings, and ensure that the recommendations were implemented at the time of the audit. follow-up process.

Function Audit

Participate in the execution of the audit plan in the assigned areas 

Help identify risk-based audit areas, analyze audit results, help formulate solution proposals, and prepare closing meetings 

Maintain the audit system and documentation, and assist with audit report writing 

Adhere to audit procedures and related principles (independence, integrity, confidentiality, truth and fairness, safety, economy, system compliance) 

 

Quality management 

Help improve workflows, processes, security standards, and documentation requirements 

Check that the measures suggested during the audits have been implemented (follow-up) and support the implementation of the recommendations 

 

Relationship Management 

Manage relationships with auditees (deal with difficult situations, understand different points of view, formulate difficult conclusions with diplomacy, etc.)

Participate in meetings and discussions with stakeholders at all levels. 

Contribute to departmental and organizational projects

 

Prerequisites

 

Ideally, you justify a first experience of min. 3 years in internal / external audit or as consultant or equivalent

Experience in a financial function, the world of insurance, asset management, IT, risk management, etc. is an advantage

You have a university degree in economics, business management or equivalent

An auditor certification (CIA, CFA, CISA or equivalent) is an asset. It is not mandatory from the start but the candidate must be willing to get it

You have a solid experience in conducting IT audits; knowledge of the insurance market is an asset

You are an excellent communicator, both written and spoken

Ability to put oneself in the place of the controlled person and ability to listen

You have team spirit, are proactive and voluntary

You are able to interact in an international work environment, with interlocutors from different countries and cultures

You have strong computer skills (eg MS Office, IDEA (data mining tools) / TeamMate is an asset

You can speak English both in writing and in writing (audit reports to be written in English). Mastery of at least one of the 2 national languages (French or Dutch) is compulsory
