Financial Reporting Actuary (Hannover ReTakaful Bahrain)
For our department Financial Accounting & Reporting we are seeking to appoint a Financial Reporting Actuary commencing immediately on a permanent, full-time basis to join our team in Bahrain.

You can look forward to

  • Compiling and processing actuarial reserve analyses (SII, IFRS, AAOIFI) and planning and forecasting information.
  • Reporting and analysis to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Drawing up quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS; including preparation of various disclosure requirements.
  • Drawing up quarterly and annual economic valuation in accordance with Solvency II.
  • Providing reporting packs to the signing Actuary and External Auditors
  • Analysis of portfolio / cohorts and related date entries to ensure modelling applied is consistent and in line with reporting standards, under various accounting regimes.

You come equipped with

  • Degree in Actuarial Science
  • Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' valuations experience within a life insurance or reinsurance environment
  • Working knowledge of technical requirements and creative problem solving skills
  • Proven track record of the application of actuarial principles and methods
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • Competent skills in MS Office, SAP, VBA, any other programming languages
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
