We will look to you to lead the preparation of the local financial statements in compliance with local GAAP standards for defined Western Union International Bank (WUIB) operated jurisdictions. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, together you will have the oversight responsibility of outsourced processes from accounting and take on leadership in supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives for the accounting function. You will support the implementation and maintenance of a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded. You will also coordinate work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records.
For such a detail-oriented role, you will need to have experience in an international corporation at managerial level. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams. It is essential you have strong knowledge of GAAP (preferably Austrian) and are fluent in English.
