Job Description:

  • Global Mortgages is a product within Global Banking & Markets. The Structured Finance Origination segment within Global Mortgages is focused on (i) originating and structuring agency securitisations backed by a range of asset classes including residential mortgages and consumer assets, and (ii) providing senior secured financing backed by similar assets. Global Mortgages is a market leading securitised product platform across ABS, RMBS and CMBS and is complemented by the mortgages analytics, sales and trading platforms.
  • Witnessing significant growth in the Australia market, we are looking for an experienced structured finance originator to join the team
  • BAML's Global Mortgages platform is a market leading platform in Europe and the U.S.
  • Was ranked # 1 in EMEA public placed securitised product league table / was ranked in the top two positions in 2011 & 2013 / won the IFR securitised product deal of the year in 2013 and 2015.

Position provides comprehensive exposure to all aspects of structured finance origination and requires strong cross collaboration with IBK and CBK to develop origination strategy with key Clients where there is a strong relationship. Further duties include:
  • Client market / pricing updates
  • Analysis across asset classes
  • Preparing client pitch books
  • Preparing marketing materials
  • Cash flow modeling
  • Interaction with legal, rating agencies, accountants, investors, conducting due diligence and credit and market risk

  • Minimum 7 years' experience client facing secured financing product origination
  • Current direct structuring experience across a broad range of ABS asset classes (e.g., fleet leasing, rental, equipment leasing, credit cards, consumer loans, dealer floorplan, autos)
  • Current direct experience in structuring all aspects of secured lending transactions and ABS transactions
  • Technical skills: comprehensive understanding of finance / capital markets / credit / reviewing legal docs
  • Personality: Shows initiative / energetic / enthusiastic roll up your sleeves type personality
  • Good working knowledge of excel / PPoint
  • Good at managing timeframes with strong organisational skills
  • An ability to multi-task, communicate clearly, collaborate across products. Individual should also be hungry to learn and demonstrate initiative to run with projects
