The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.
Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.

Position Overview

As one of the world's largest financial services groups, Deutsche Bank is a leading depositary bank for American Depositary Receipts & Global Depositary Receipts, currently administering over 300 programs for clients worldwide. Deutsche Bank provides a high quality, personalised service to issuers and a range of value-added services to ensure that both they and their investors obtain the highest benefit from their depositary receipt program.

The Deutsche Bank depositary receipt business forms part of the broader Trust & Agency Services, part of the Global Transaction Banking Division.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Depositary Receipts Client Management, with the potential to become a fully independent Client Manager capable of also handling more challenging clients and client issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Depositary Receipts team with existing clients requests, new prospects analysis, projects and general market analysis
  • Coordinate with global Depositary Receipts team and facilitate execution of related business projects or corporate actions
  • Advise clients of program activities and handle client inquiries and requests related to corporate actions and investor relations
  • Assist on client KYC due diligence, regulatory controls and reporting functions, maintaining internal database for Client Services management
  • Assist in preparing RFP and service proposals, investor targeting analysis and tailored market report as per clients' request
  • Prepare regular “white papers” and bulletins on topics of interest for distribution to our client base
  • Provide periodic client program reporting
  • Develop an Investor Relations strategy in conjunction with the client to target the depositary receipt holders
  • Assist in the proactive flow of information between the client and their investors
  • Manage and develop networking with external business partners that will be of use and interest to our client base
  • Input and update client management and deal tracking systems
  • Coordinate internally and externally to host or sponsor client events and seminars in Australia, Asia and globally
  • Collect market intelligence and provide analysis or translation of local market update

Professional and personal requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in financial, economics or business administration
  • Experience in the financial services industry dealing with client focused businesses with significant exposure to Investment, Finance, Operations, Sales Management and Compliance
  • Sound knowledge of international capital market, investment, trust or custody services, and general transaction banking products
  • A strong understanding and working knowledge of the risk and control frameworks required for these businesses to operate safely and effectively
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as in a team environment
  • Dedication to service details with high quality deliverables
  • Self-motivated, proactive with a strong desire to learn and succeed
  • strong analytical and interpersonal skills, good business sense and presentable
  • Strong PC based skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
