In addition, you'll be involved with developing and overseeing the quality of risk strategies and tools to be used by the businesses to identify measure, monitor and control IT risks. This will include linkages to the operational risk self-assessment process, control assurance, incident reporting, key risk indicators, operational risk capital and bank-wide policies and procedures.

You'll take responsibility for challenging senior management on the appropriateness of Macquarie's IT practices and tolerance for risk acceptance, and work with both business and technology teams to understand material risks associated with technology changes and approve initiatives.

Whilst acting as an independent advisor to the business to; interpret and implement IT policies to achieve practical outcomes; judge the appropriateness of implicit and explicit risk acceptance decisions and assess the overall results of the remit.

You will bring with you a practical and commercial technical understanding of IT Risk Management in a similar role. You will also be able to display proven experience in a regulatory compliance, data privacy or similar environment and preferably the application of ITIL and COBIT within the financial services industries, managing global and complex risk frameworks.

You'll also have a prior knowledge and a solid understanding of both IT application and IT infrastructure domains as well be a lateral thinker with problem solving, consulting skills and an ability to grasp abstract concepts/complex situations.

If you are comfortable interpreting and balancing commercial issues within the risk framework whilst utilising your strong existing network in the IT then we would love to hear from you.
