An opportunity has arisen with a large, complex organisation undergoing a significant enterprise-wide transformation focused on improving competitiveness, operational performance and long-term growth. Working across multiple business units and engaging directly with senior leadership, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities to drive meaningful change and business improvement.
Your new role
As a Strategic Transformation Specialist, you will be responsible for driving enterprise competitiveness and transformation initiatives across the organisation. This is not a traditional project delivery role. Instead, you will act as an internal transformation catalyst, partnering with senior leaders to identify opportunities, challenge existing ways of working and develop practical solutions that improve organisational performance.
You will lead strategic improvement initiatives, support cost optimisation and productivity programs, undertake value-stream mapping and operational reviews, and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business. This role requires a highly commercial and hands-on individual who can quickly understand complex problems, create traction and drive outcomes in a matrix environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading enterprise transformation, business excellence and competitiveness initiatives.
- Identifying and accelerating high-value strategic opportunities.
- Driving profitability, productivity and operational performance improvements.
- Leading cost optimisation, operating model and business improvement programs.
- Establishing governance, performance measures and reporting frameworks.
- Influencing senior leaders and stakeholders to drive change and accountability.
- Supporting strategic initiatives focused on improving organisational competitiveness.
- Working closely with teams across business, operational and corporate functions to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Extensive experience leading enterprise transformation, strategic improvement or business excellence programs.
- A background within Big 4 consulting, strategy consulting, major transformation programs or a senior transformation leadership role.
- Proven experience operating successfully within complex matrix organisations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and realise business value.
- Experience leading cost optimisation, productivity uplift, operating model or organisational improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes without direct authority.
- Experience with value-stream mapping, process improvement and business performance programs.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility from frontline teams through to executive leadership.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach and the ability to balance strategic thinking with execution.
