Senior Manager, Group Control Room
Your Role
The Senior Manager, Group Control Room - Operations will support the Head of Group Control Room in delivering on the GCR Strategy, with a focus on GCR Advisory activities. The Group Control Room has securely funded, interesting process improvement projects under-away, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the function via your input into these projects.
  • Developing and maintaining Conflicts of Interest frameworks, and advising on the implementation and monitoring of the effectiveness of those frameworks
  • Managing Chinese Wall structures and processes, including those relating to material non-public information and Chinese Wall Crossings
  • Implementing processes for the identification and management of relevant transactional conflicts and personal conflicts (including personal account dealing activities, directorships, external business interests and personal relationship conflicts
  • Performing substantial shareholding reporting on behalf of the Westpac Group

    What do I need?
    To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience, education and/or expertise:
  • Proven compliance experience in a financial services organisation, or other relevant business experience such as law, operational risk or audit; years' experience of working in a Control Room
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. law or postgraduate studies in compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing key stakeholder relationships at a senior level
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory environments and experience in managing implications in financial service organisations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance developments to identify emerging risks that may affect the business today or in the future
  • Operates effectively in a changing environment
  • Influencing skills.
