either Banking, Wealth and Insurance industry. Are you keen to

APRA oversees the banking, general insurance, life insurance,
private health insurance, and most of the superannuation
industry. We're looking for a Senior Manager to join our
Specialised Institutions Division in Melbourne. The ideal
candidate will have relevant financial sector experience and the
highest integrity to be involved in the critical role of supervising
financial institutions, including some of Australia's largest

Responsible for managing the resources of the team, to
ensure individual entities are adequately supervised
Monitoring institutions to identify critical developments which
could lead to serious economic issues, and raising these
Assess institutions' management, strategies, practices and
systems and making recommendations of improvement
Ensuring that the team has the skills needed to support high
quality analysis and risk assessment
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
within the supervised institutions monitored buy the team
Present supervision findings to senior management with the
supervised institutions
Liaise with industry groups and associations to ensure they
are across regulatory standards

Be involved in the review of industry and supervisory
procedures and provide expert level technical and procedural
The ideal candidate will have strong financial sector experience
with either banking, wealth management or insurance. You will
have demonstrated experience in managing the development
and implementation of regulatory standards and maintain up to
date knowledge of financial market trends and the legislative
environment. The ability to engage with senior stakeholders both
internally and externally to discuss industry and regulatory
issues will be essential in this role. Qualifications in a Financerelated
discipline will be highly regarded.
