An opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel role within an ASX 200 listed Financial Services company.
Your new company
Hays Legal have partnered with an ASX 200 listed Financial Services company here in Sydney as they look to add a new Senior Legal Counsel to their team. Your new role
Working in a team of 4, your role will be focused on a broad variety of commercial, procurement, technology and privacy matters. Typical duties will include drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial and procurement contracts including licensing agreements, software agreements. You will also provide support to the Privacy Lawyer on privacy law and data related matters.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Australian legal qualifications and a current Australian practising certificate;
  • 6+ years' post-admission experience;
  • Strong general commercial contracts and procurement experience, ideally with additional experience with technology contracts and/or privacy matters;
  • Ideally, prior experience within Financial Services with an understanding of the relevant regulations;
  • Be driven to learn and develop your skills
  • Have strong communication skills and a desire to interact and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
