Senior Data Analyst

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work with one of our clients until 30 June 2022 with great possibility of extension. The successful applicant will be able to manipulate data to influence business decisions whilst providing key insights to stakeholders, within the retail baking and remediation space.

Your Opportunity

Your major responsibilities will include:
  • Translate complex data in order to effectively communicate insights to key stakeholders
  • Contribute to governance framework and ensure products meet standards
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing deep insights to the business and proactively offering solutions
  • Lead, mentor, and coach other analyst(s) within your immediate team
  • End-to-end delivery of remediation projects by building analytical solutions and data models
  • Investigate issues and incidents related to incorrectly charged fees or interest due to bank error
  • Present key insights to the business by creating working groups, demos, formal presentations, etc.
How are you extraordinary?
  • 4-6 years working in a similar role
  • Tertiary Degree and/or Diploma in Commerce, Business or Mathematics desirable
  • Previous experience using analytical tools such as SQL and Teradata
  • Experience using Python, R, SAS, SPSS, Hadoop are preferred
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to use data to communicate and influence decisions
  • Skilled in preparing presentations and documents clearly & concisely
  • Knowledge on financial services and retail banking products
