How will I help?


In this new opportunity you will be responsible for the delivery of core predictive analysis, modelling and model performance activities for Westpac Group portfolios in the areas of credit capital, provisions, application scoring, account / customer behaviour scoring, risk grade modelling, time series modelling, segmentation and portfolio optimisation.

You will be accountable for developing statistical models leveraged to establish and maintain 'best practice' risk management and automated credit decisioning processes as well as ensuring that all processes, procedures, issues and outcomes are appropriately documented

What do I need?


Along with Tertiary qualifications (Maths/Statistics/Quantitative/Business or other relevant degree) or equivalent business experience, we are looking for:

  • Three or more years of experience within an analytical team or equivalent, credit risk preferred
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Sound statistical knowledge
  • Sound data management expertise
  • Advanced SAS, Python, SQL, Java, R, Matlab, Excel with VBA, Word and PowerPoint
  • Aptitude for PC applications and software
  • Commitment to performance
