Operational Risk Director
Operational Risk DirectorWe are looking for a Director to join the global Enterprise Risk team as part of the Operational Risk team within our overarching Risk Management Group.
The Enterprise Risk team has a mandate to identify operational risks that sit across the organisation and develop or enhance how we manage those risks. Examples include third party risk, data risk, and model risk among others. The team sets the appetite for enterprise-wide operational risks within Macquarie in addition to performing active oversight of the risks and the implementation of the operational risk management framework and provides insight on the risk profiles across the enterprise and industry developments.
This role offers a unique and sought-after opportunity to have hands-on exposure to all Macquarie divisions globally, have access to senior risk and business stakeholders, and influence risk thinking across the enterprise. Working closely with stakeholders across all of our businesses and support areas, in this position, you will:
- design enterprise-wide solutions and frameworks via direct engagement with senior business and risk leads across Macquarie
- support the implementation of enhancements to the ORMF for enterprise wide risks (e.g. training, working group, committee co-participation)
- drive and be instrumental in running working projects with stakeholders in achieving the team's enterprise-wide risk objectives
- own the framework, policy and guidance suite in association with enterprise-wide solutions, including ensuring effective implementation
- support the team to evaluate internal and external data to identify trends and emerging risks that benefit from an enterprise-wide solution.

You will also be a confident communicator with the ability to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues and be keen to work in a tenacious, agile and high energy environment. You will be working in a team which collectively has deep Macquarie expertise and reach and is highly regarded.
