Manager – Compliance Product Manager
Join the newly created Enterprise Compliance System team as an agile Product Owner for the Compliance Control Room Deal Management System.
The re-write and uplift of Control Room Deal Management System has just started, and it is a great opportunity for a seasoned Product Owner to join the Scrum Team and help drive improvements onto the system. The team is targeting to fully switch to the new system by end of 2020. The Scrum Team, including the Product Owner, will continue to own, maintain and improve the system through the product lifecycle of the system after 2020, keeping up with the ever-changing regulatory requirements and business needs.
In this role you will identify the stakeholders needs and develop a system vision and roadmap. You will continuously define, prioritise, and validate requirements, working closely with the delivery teams to bring the voice of the customer to the team, and the voice of solution to the customer.
You will understand the customer needs by continuously communicating with multiple stakeholders to validate the proposed solutions and provide transparency of the system. You will ensure that business stakeholders, business owners and development teams are fully informed of the system vision, roadmap and progress always.
You will be the broker between the different stakeholders in order to define a prioritised backlog, inform release planning including new features, architecture and allocation of technical debt and manage and prioritise the flow of work for the system.
In this role you will maximise delivery of business value for the stakeholders. You will perform continuous near-term road-mapping and constant scope triage with backlog refinement and informal face to face communication with Scrum Teams. You will lead adaptive planning to reflect new knowledge and change business value prioritisation accordingly.
As the system stakeholders are in all 4 major hubs (Sydney, Hong Kong, London, New York) this role will involve regular calls outside of Sydney working hours.
To be a success in this role you will need to be a natural leader and have a track record of bringing people together, formally or informally, to accomplish something you're passionate about.
You'll be an exceptional communicator. You have experience collaborating effectively with developers, engineers and business stakeholders. You inspire people to action with your story telling.
A proven operator. You will have been on teams building software before and know how to drive them to success. So previous knowledge of the tasks and workflows of a Compliance Control room to be able to see eye to eye with the business stakeholders would be an advantage.
