Description

Strategic Intent
  • The Australian Markets Middle Office supports both the Fixed Income and Equities markets businesses within Australia. The team is made up of 8 people supporting Sales and Trading functions across multiple asset classes
  • This role sits within the FICC Middle Office as a Senior Analyst supporting onshore and offshore teams with Rates/STIRT Trading, FX and Credit Sales businesses
Key Responsibilities:
  • Matrix responsibilities for the FICC Middle Office team of 3 covering all BAU processes, goal setting, appraisals and administration
  • Ownership of control functions and post execution exception risk management for Rates and Credit, Cash and Derivative products, FX spot/fwd, NDF and options
  • Responsibility for monitoring exception reports, reconciliations and daily/monthly dashboard signoffs, to ensure all issues are resolved/addressed in a timely manner
  • Oversight and ownership of Rates and FX, ASIC regulatory reporting daily exception monitoring, population reconciliation and Managers Control Assessment (MCA) testing
  • Management of all global jurisdictional regulatory exceptions generated from the AU Businesses. CFTC/EMIR/ASIC Mandatory Clearing, PTMM. MRNCCD, SEF/MAT and ISDA Protocol
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues in APAC/EMEA and NAM to ensure Australia MO is applying globally consistent standards and controls and to represent AU FICC MO within the global community
  • In Partnership with MO Head, represent AU FICC MO for any regulatory/system rollouts/upgrades, partnering with onshore and offshore peers. Ensuring deadlines are met and delivered
  • Daily engagement with traders and salespeople to address ad hoc execution/post execution issues, develop new business requirements and flows
  • Client interaction, BAU escalation point for any client issues. Including regular OCRM domestic client visits to improve customer service
  • Engage with the project teams, onshore and offshore to drive  automation, and cover process and or system changes that impact on the Equity businesses
  • Monthly MIS creation and data analysis to optimize customer service. Combined with representing AU FICC MO within monthly local RMC, (Risk Management Committee)
  • Adapt and incorporate the changing Regulatory landscape into the businesses and make sure Citi adheres to the firm's requirements.
  • Aspects of daily trade processing, bookings and allocations, as required


Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Significant Trade/Operational trade transactional skills and experience
  • Proven experience within Middle Office and FICC markets businesses
  • Additional experience across FICC and Equity Back Office/Trade Support desirable
  • Comfortable use of MS Office applications and Excel proficient
  • FI OTC derivative experience  essential, local Australian experience a distinct advantage
  • Strong regulatory experience essential, covering global jurisdictions - ASIC/CFTC/EMIR
  • Excellent communication and written skills
