Executive Manager, Risk Reduction and Delivery- Portfolio Integrity, Home Ownership
How will I help?
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Integrity, Home Ownership you will lead a team and drive delivery of the APRA plan as well as ensure the delivery of ongoing internal and external commitments in regard to risk reduction.
Why does this position exist?
The Portfolio Integrity team is responsible for leading operational risk and compliance management across the end-to-end Home Ownership business across all our Westpac Group brands and channels. This role requires an experienced leader who is passionate about Home Ownership with a specific focus around operational risk and regulatory requirements. Major accountabilities of position Oversight the delivery of the APRA plan
Ensure the delivery of ongoing internal and external commitments in regard to risk reduction
Identify and triage new issues and incidents across the home ownership value chain and ensure root cause correctly identified
Assessing new issues and incidents to ensure there is commitment to sustainable solutions that address root cause
Oversight delivery of all issues and incident risk reduction activity
Deliver targeted risk transformation work for Home Ownership
Support the uplift of Risk Management Practices across the end-to-end Home Ownership Value Chain
Design and implement innovative and strategic solutions and action plans to enhance how we uplift risk management activity across the value chain. This will involve delivery and coordination with multiple teams
Develop data driven assurance, insights and reporting to support across the E2E and within the Portfolio Integrity Team.
Support across the Portfolio Integrity Team uplift of controls and how we gain assurance across the end-to-end lending process.
Prepare and present regular updates and reports to Senior Management. This will include presentations to Risk Committees.
What do I need?
5 years' experience in Risk Management or Process Management experience
Extensive understanding of the home loan origination process
Previous project management / delivery experience
Demonstrable experience working with senior stakeholders
Understanding of managing and leading data teams.
Tertiary qualifications in business related discipline
Ability to build strong relationships, effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders at senior levels
Well-developed business knowledge and commercial acumen
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical, analytical and implementation skills
Ability to think and act at the granular and strategic level
Risk, control and process focussed
