The Business Unit
Enterprise Services (ES) brings together the Group's information technology and banking operations functions to deliver the highest levels of customer service through world-class process excellence and technology innovation.
Within ES, The Performance organisation is responsible for bringing ES and Group functions together to drive Performance across ES and in some cases the Group more broadly. We create an environment of operational best practice and ensure these processes are followed consistently across all parts of ES.
Performance focusses on:
  • Enterprise Procurement and Planning
  • Strategy, Transformation and Communications
  • Enterprise PMO

The Team
The EPMO has been set up to provide a single view of delivery across the entire Group. This includes leveraging a stronger Group Delivery Framework (GDF), which provides a single method of prioritisation, sequencing and delivery of change project/programs and their outcomes.

The department works closely with key partners I.e. Group Strategy, the Business Unit PMOs, Finance, Risk and other ES teams to efficiently and effectively manage the Project / Program Portfolio.

The Role
As Executive Manager you will develop a roadmap to progressively mature the function of the Portfolio Management team, establishing the operating rhythm of the capability and leading day to day operations including operationalisation of the service offering

You will drive the strategic transformation of the team to a best in class model, in line with industry best practice, supporting the portfolio management team with data and insights.

By conducting ongoing reviews of the project portfolio using multiple lenses you will provide recommendations on potential risks/issues and suggestions to further optimise the portfolio as well as producing (scheduled and ad hoc) leadership reporting for the effective monitoring & management of the project portfolio.

The Executive Manager will play a key role in supporting change management and roll out of frameworks and tools for managing the Portfolio.

The Requirements:
An influential leader with a track record in mentoring, developing and inspiring a high performing team and will have a history of promoting an inclusive culture where colleagues are engaged and feel proud to be part of.

You will possess significant experience working in Project and Portfolio management teams and have a demonstrable track record in tracking portfolio health, risks, issues, costs and benefits and have developed and executed a roadmap to build and mature the function, with clear short, medium and long term objectives.

Demonstrable executive level stakeholder management and influencing skills will be required to enable the promotion of your team's ideas, challenging of others where appropriate and facilitating and gaining consensus through those interactions.
