- Fixed-term contract from August/September 2020 - January 2020

How will I help?
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, Business Bank, you'll have an essential role to play in an equally essential part of the Westpac Group. It's a role that will see you partnering with key stakeholders to ensure compliance within the Private Wealth businesses in Westpac. Key responsibilities include -
  • Provide expert advisory compliance support and effective oversight and challenge to the Business Bank divisions.

  • Frame a business aligned agenda to support business strategic goals and initiatives whilst ensuring effective governance and risk and compliance management of the portfolio.

  • Execute the Compliance functional agenda as it relates to the portfolio, including compliance risk assessment, challenge & oversight, monitoring, reporting, training and continuous improvement.

    What's in it for you?
This isn't just a highly specialist role leading a respected team - it's an exciting opportunity. You'll work closely with strategies, projects and matters which not only give you a birds-eye view of the whole Westpac Group, but have a company-wide impact as well. And you'll do that work with plenty of great benefits, along with flexible work arrangements to make sure the role's the right fit.

    What do I need?
You'll have proven experience as an Senior Manager or Executive within a Compliance, Risk or Legal team. Along with a Bachelor or post-grad studies in the field, you'll have had hands-on experience with compliance frameworks (including the three lines of defence), as well as the legal obligations of financial services. In fact, previous experience in the Banking and Financial Services sector and a regulatory exposure will give you a huge advantage.

What is it like to work there?
We aim to provide one big, supportive team to help us reach our vision to become one of the world's great service companies. As an equal opportunity employer, we're proud to have created a culture and work environment that values diversity and flexibility - and champions inclusion.
