Our client is a highly successful financial services company recently listed on the ASX with their Asset Management arm continuing to expand rapidly with over $2.5 billion worth of assets under management. They have a strong focus on alternative assets and higher return market strategies and are well placed to take advantage of growth opportunities into 2018 and beyond. This has created an exciting opportunity for two experienced institutional capital raisers to target sources of capital both in the local and overseas institutional markets.  This business has strong ‘private placement’ capability in the US so there could be an opportunity to be based overseas to leverage relationships in that market, and be based there.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for growing the institutional distribution efforts of high calibre alternative investment products locally or overseas, or both. You will have direct access to investment personnel to support the platform for significant growth providing investors with direct access to a broad range of private equity, real estate (mostly operating assets eg childcare, pubs, technology, aged care) and alternative credit market investment products (distressed corporate and real estate development), venture capital/growth capital.  This product range will grow over time as this asset manager responds to the alternative opportunities in the market.  

Key requirements for this role include;

Have an existing institutional client base with which you have successfully raised capital from in the past. 

Proven ability to foster deep relationships to promote and grow the business

Highly self-motivated and disciplined sales approach to succeed

Participate and interact at a senior level to formulate and execute sales strategies  

Highly organised, strong attention to detail and work ethic

Ability to work autonomously
