The Infrastructure Platforms Development team have an opening for a mid-level developer. We are an Agile team responsible for building systems which aim to change the way our technology teams work and manage their Infrastructure, with the goal of automating, simplifying and innovating. As a team we love coding in Go, however, we also touch on other languages (e.g. Java, Python, Ruby). We also have a big focus on learning and innovation and constantly evolve our approach and tech stack, so you will get exposure to modern technology, processes and architectures as we design systems from the ground up.
We anticipate to excel in this role you will ideally have:
- 3-5 years experience with software development in a language such as Go, C++, Python, Java or C#, but wanting to learn Go
- keen motivation to learn and enthusiastic about technology
- experience and understanding of building full-stack web-based systems (e.g. using REST and/or GRPC), or experience in backend development
- good understanding of algorithms and data structures, and able to write efficient solutions to problems
- ability to come up with solutions collaboratively with team members and people outside of the team.
In this role you will be a core member of the team, owning and delivering new systems and features in an agile and highly collaborative team. We take a bottom up approach where anyone, regardless of experience level, has the opportunity and freedom to contribute to solutions, drive improvements and think innovatively. Apart from building on your development skills, you will also get the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of how Infrastructure works, while also getting experience with DevOps and automation.
