Exciting opportunity from one of Australia's leading business banks, seeking an experienced regulatory engagement professional to join their team. Purpose of the role
Through the professional expertise of the candidate, the role is charged providing 2nd Line compliance support across all business units. Through timely and efficient reporting mechanisms, the Compliance Manager is required to work to key targets, programs, and schedules to fulfil regulatory reporting requirements. The role is similarly responsible for taking on board key learnings and insights and sharing these to business units and key senior stakeholders - entrenching a compliance culture.
The role also has an advisory aspect, which will contribute to the design, implementation and innovation of compliance strategies, policies and manuals. Particular to business products and initiatives, the Compliance manager will play a central role in advising on issues in relation to these compliance frameworks. The Applicant
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in banking and/or financial services with an additional 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a compliance-related function attained through work at a regulator or regulated market.
A robust understanding of business banking products and services is essential to the role. This should be supplemented with previously demonstrated success as an operator within the competitive banking industry.
Influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders should be a high competency area for a candidate, with an ability to build and maintain positive relations across the business.
The role also requires a refined ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements and reporting in a synthesised fashion to a variety of stakeholders.
