This company are in growth phase and cover retail and business lending and asset finance based in Sydney. Established in 2011 the business continues to thrive through a focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Your new role
As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of the compliance functions of the company. You will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating compliance and regulatory requirements that affect the company, with a focus on resolution and development. The role plays a critical part in ensuring that a customer's needs and objectives are met and is responsible for developing insights and reporting from compliance reviews and acting as the liaison point across all teams within the business.

  • Regulatory compliance including NCCP, privacy, best interests duty, corporations Act and AML/CTF
  • Maintain the ACL and compliance obligations
  • File review of mortgage brokers to ensure compliance and standards met and trend analysis and insights from Qualitative File reviews
  • Policy owner and amendments existing/new policies
  • Maintain the existing compliance and risk framework and make improvements
  • Training and supporting the business
  • Monitor ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC media releases, publications, lender and industry announcements
  • Ensuring effective controls are in place to monitor, measure and act on any and all compliance/risk components of the business - and proactively resolving any issues that arise

What you'll need to succeed
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. Commerce, law, accounting or similar
  • Good understanding of lending compliance, ideally with a background from a bank, non-bank lending, mortgage broker or aggregator
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to easily gain buy-in for projects and programs and influence stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • To be eligible to apply, you must have Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
