Are you an experienced Collections professional looking to join a supportive and growing finance business? We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Credit Collections Officer to play a key role in managing customer accounts, improving payment outcomes, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts, negotiating repayment solutions, and helping customers return to positive payment behaviours while delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Manage collections activities across a portfolio of customer accounts
- Contact customers to secure payments and negotiate suitable payment arrangements
- Respond to enquiries from customers, brokers and external stakeholders
- Provide regular updates and reporting on delinquent accounts
- Work closely with internal teams to rehabilitate overdue accounts
- Assist with repossession, asset recovery and loss recovery processes when required
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all activities are completed in line with company policies and procedures
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders while delivering outstanding service
- Previous experience in credit collections within a bank, lender or finance company
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Highly organised with strong self-management skills
- Confident working autonomously and taking ownership of outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Asset Finance Collections
- Experience in Banking Collections
- Experience in Recoveries
- Experience in Financial Hardship
- Experience in Consumer Lending Collections
- Experience in Credit Control
Attractive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 + Super
