Bureau Data Quality Analyst

The comprehensive databases built and managed by Experian's credit bureau are at the core of Experian's Credit Services. These databases hold the credit application and repayment histories of millions of consumers and businesses. In total, Experian operates 19 consumer credit bureau and 13 business credit bureau around the world! This role would ideally suit someone with two to four years' post qualification experience who would like to continue developing their career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Quality / Reporting (70%)
  • Daily monitoring of the production environment, reporting on performance to key stakeholders.
  • Write and learn code to analyse large amounts of data and assess data quality issues and how to remedy them
  • Analyse data and reports to identify any Data Quality issues, trends or value add for clients.
  • Investigate and identify measurable improvements to the quality of the database
  • Work closely with the wider Data Management team and internal stakeholders to provide short term and long-term solutions for any data quality issues, process improvements or systemic issues
  • Produce meaningful monthly reports for internal and external clients

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
  • Relevant university qualification (e.g. Computing, Computer Science, Maths)
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Experience with SQL or SAS would be a bonus
  • An inquisitive mind, focused on addressing and solving data and analysis problems
  • Works well in a team and comfortable attempting tasks on their own
  • Previous experience in Financial / Credit Services would also be beneficial
