Automation Engineer
Join an innovative and passionate team transforming Macquarie's apps and designing the future of how we engage staff through technology.

As an Automation Engineer, you will join the Digital Workplace team that own the Macquarie Staff Mobile Applications. The team is going through a transformation phase to design the future of Macquarie staff apps. We need an enthusiast to come out and help with the automation testing.

Your experience will see you responsible for supporting build and test phases across mobile, tablet and desktop within the central operating group, redefining the experience of all Macquarie staff around the world.

Your role would involve:
  • triaging defects against "Definition of Done" with the Product Owner
  • collaborating with the team to ensure, end to end solutions meet staff requirements.
  • work on building a comprehensive test automation suite for Mobile and Web apps (functional, component, regression and performance tests)
  • follow test plan / schedule for building the test automation scripts, execution of these scripts and reporting of test results on daily basis.
  • thoroughly and clearly document all test scripts, and review with the team
  • ensure breakdown of tasks, dependencies / pre-requisites and end objectives are clearly communicated and documented
  • maintain high integrity, ensure delivery of software of the highest standards in a timely manner

Your experience will include:
  • working in a Digital team of medium to large enterprise
  • testing on Web / Mobile device platforms
  • 5-8 years' experience in Agile teams - product idea, user journey, epics, stories, 'definition of done'
  • 3-5 years' experience in automation testing - Appium, Selenium, Robot, Cucumber, Jmeter
