AML Operations Analyst
The AML Operations Analyst will provide a resource to ensure the CBSU supports the business by undertaking AML related functions including completion of Account Inquiry Requests, annual Customer Due Diligence reports, Overlay/ Account Profile Forms, Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions Screening.

  • Undertake completion of Transaction Monitoring Alerts, annual Customer Due Diligence (CDD) information gathering exercise for all unassigned Customers and Branch Annual reviews.
  • Undertake actioning of Sanctions escalations.
  • Undertake Senior Public Figure reviews.
  • Undertake customer contact calls in resolution of CDD, HRAC and other AML enquiries.
  • Undertake HRAC reviews including completion of Overlays/Account Profile Forms.
  • Support AML suspicious matter investigations through obtaining information and lodgements of Suspicious Matter Reports to AUSTRAC.
  • Identify and escalate suspect activity to CBSU Management.
  • Assist other units in AML projects, audit retrievals and rectifications
  • Undertake Checker Process as directed
  • Assist in the preparation of metrics and maintain accurate records and reporting

Experience Required:
  • 2-5 Years exposure to AML related processes
  • Solid understanding and work experience with globally applicable and local AML/KYC regulations, associated risks of non compliance and changing dynamics, including knowledge of KYC processes throughout the client lifecycle
  • Strong experience with regulatory compliance, AML transaction/risk monitoring tools and experience solving AML related issues
  • Proficient MS Excel skills to create, manage, and develop MIS Reports.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to interact and facilitate across diverse audiences

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Citi has entered into an agreement with NAB to acquire its consumer bank in Australia which includes residential mortgages, deposits, and unsecured lending. The sale is expected to complete in March 2022. As this is a role to work in Citi's consumer bank, the successful candidate will initially be employed by Citi, but on sale completion, their employment will transfer to a NAB (or) a new entity that will employ Citi's consumer bank employees, prior to their transfer to NAB.

The minimum salary requirement for this role is $80,000 including 10% superannuation
