CFO role with potential to be based in Sydney or Perth with a growing company.

The company is a rapidly growing global organisation which provides specialised Industrial Services to the oil and gas sectors.

The business continues to grow and set new standards and as a result we are currently looking for a highly motivated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team based in Sydney, NSW. The CFO will be a key member of our executive leadership team which will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This is a replacement role for the incumbent employee and the role will be instrumental in supporting the ongoing commercial success and future sustainability of the organisation.

Job Description

Role Accountabilities:

  • Managing the processes for financial forecasting, planning, budget creation, legal compliance and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting for the business.
  • Providing strategic advice and support to the executive management team in all finance matters for the business whilst developing strong relations with senior management, external partners and stakeholders.
  • Dealing with lenders and the related debt compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Strong focus on driving efficiencies and continuous improvement across the business globally.
  • Preparing annual operating budgets and financial models to support business planning, identify business risks and make appropriate recommendations regarding mitigation strategies.
  • Tax planning and reporting across geographies
  • Management of all treasury function including cash flow management
  • Providing leadership, direction and management to the finance and accounting teams across the business globally.
  • Ensure effective and sustainable financial management for the business and compliance with all aspects of corporate governance.
  • Ensuring ongoing financial sustainability of the business through continued rigorous cost control and increased revenue growth.
  • Full stakeholder management including interaction with Shareholder and direct engagement with the Board

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Proven CFO, or Head of Finance ready to take the next step to further their career.
  • Capable of working in an agile private equity environment
  • Must hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting and Business or related discipline and be CPA/CA qualified.
  • Proven capacity to analyse and interpret data to support decision-making and strategic business cases.
  • Strong experience with accounting packages and advanced excel experience.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative and innovation to proactively support continued growth of the business both nationally and globally.
  • High level of International experience in the oil and gas sector will be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality, accuracy or customer service whilst maintaining a positive and calm professional approach.
