Business Analyst - Business Implementation

The Business Analyst will bring strong, best-practice business analysis skills to ensure the delivery scope of this Human Capital Management program will meet the business needs and is able to be implemented within the provided constraints of the program.

Key accountabilities

  • Complete the high-quality key business analysis deliverables according to the project schedule, including engagement with required subject matter experts (SME's) to contribute to the deliverables
  • Effectively communicate requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and project team members remain in agreement on solution scope and actual needs
  • Engage with business stakeholders, external vendor and internal technology teams to assess solution gaps and identify options to resolve via either business process changes or technical solutions
  • Ensuring the technical community has a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
  • Ensuring the change community are across the detail of the solution to inform change impacts and end-user training material
  • Contribute to development of test scenarios and identification of test data to inform UAT and PVT test cases and test scripts

Essential requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering large-scale programs
  • Ability to apply industry best practice methodology to the gathering, analysis and documentation of high quality, non-ambiguous business requirements
  • Ability to work with, and leverage, other project teams to draw on relevant expertise to contribute to an outcome
  • Ability to work calmly within a high-stress environment, with a high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to clearly communicate activities and challenges being faced to provide management with a clear understanding of required intervention
  • Experience working with multiple business units (HR, Finance, etc.) to deliver cross-functional outcomes
  • Experience contributing to business test phases (UAT, PVT, etc.), including defect triage
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex team environment
  • Experience with Customer Design techniques to bring direct end-user input into the solution design
  • Experience in delivering large-scale business change initiatives in Government
  • Experience in implementing HR solutions
