DWS is seeking an experienced
Test Director to lead testing activities for a major transformation program within a complex banking environment. This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and executing enterprise testing strategy, ensuring quality outcomes across multiple workstreams, and driving the successful delivery of critical business and technology initiatives.

Working closely with senior business stakeholders, technology leaders and delivery teams, you will provide strategic direction across all phases of testing while ensuring governance, risk management and delivery objectives are achieved.


A mandatory requirement for this role is prior experience as a Test Director within a large retail bank, leading enterprise-scale testing programs. The successful candidate will bring firsthand experience navigating the complexity, governance, regulatory requirements and stakeholder landscape typical of major banking organisations.

Candidates without previous Test Director experience within a large retail banking environment will not be considered.

Salary: Up to $1,150/day ACN or up to $250K pkg (inc super) Max Term




To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Proven experience operating as a Test Director within a large retail banking organisation.


• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide testing functions across large-scale banking transformation programs.


• Extensive experience developing and executing enterprise test strategies, governance frameworks and quality assurance models.


• Strong track record delivering complex end-to-end testing outcomes across multiple business, technology and vendor workstreams.


• Deep understanding of retail banking products, platforms, operations and regulatory environments.


• Proven experience delivering testing outcomes within complex and highly regulated financial services organisations.


• Experience managing large testing teams, vendors and third-party delivery partners across enterprise-scale programs.


• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence executives, senior leadership teams and key business stakeholders.


• Strong understanding of risk management, quality assurance practices and enterprise delivery methodologies.


• Experience operating within environments with stringent governance, compliance and regulatory requirements.


• Exposure to AI-enabled technologies, digital transformation initiatives and emerging technology trends is highly desirable.


• Exceptional communication, leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
