DESCRIPTION
Job summary
The AWS Migration Services team is recruiting a Solutions Architect to assist with helping customers plan large scale migrations to the cloud by developing financial assessments that address customer objectives using AWS tools such as Migration Evaluator, Cloud Endure and Application Discovery Service. Migration Services tools and programs deliver accurate data-driven recommendations to right-size and right-cost compute, perform application dependency mapping, migration wave planning and more. In this role, you will oversee your region for all assessments to ensure top quality results are being presented to AWS customers. You will support enabled AWS fields teams and AWS Partners as they develop their own assessments using Migration Services tools. You will work with the customer, AWS account teams, delivery team, AWS Partners, and senior leadership to develop and operate our enablement programs to train AWS field teams and AWS Partner teams to leverage Migration Services tools. Our services are used by customers, partners, and internal Amazon Web Services teams on a global basis

Key job responsibilities
Key roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to schedule and deliver successful software implementations
• Perform the implementation and data configuration
• Troubleshoot and solve implementation challenges
• Articulate assessment results and analyses to customers and internal stakeholders
• In-depth understanding of our products at a functional and technical level
• Listening to, and using customer feedback to drive product innovation
• Providing demos, workshops, and sales support as needed
• Assist in developing and ongoing improvement of enablement programs for AWS Field and AWS Partners
• Mentoring new team members
• Contributing to global or local SA initiatives to develop and share best practices to help scale the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in software implementation and delivery
• Certificate or Degree or strong relevant experience in one of the following fields or related fields - Information Technology, Data Analytics, Infrastructure Systems, Computer Science
• Practical knowledge of computer software, hardware and networks
• Experience interacting with and presenting to customers or internal teams
• Experience speaking to financial aspects of on-premises and AWS infrastructure
• 2+ years of experience in Solutions Architect or technical advisory role with similar type experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with data center and/or cloud infrastructure management
• Familiarity with licensing models and strategies for Windows and SQL, Oracle, Linux
• Familiarity with AWS architecture (S3, EC2, etc.) or AWS Certified SA Professional
• Communicates effectively with diverse customers and audiences, across multiple disciplines
• Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to a business audience
• Ability to work under self-direction and strong project management skills
