The role of Service Banker is to provide support and assistance to the Branch Sales Team allowing them to deliver sales and revenue targets and to deepen the relationship with existing and prospective clients.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Cross-sell and up-sell the suite of cross franchise products to Citibanking clients through proactive handling of branch enquiries
  • Actively acquire New-To-Bank clients through various channels e.g. referrals
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities to sell other products or refer opportunities to the appropriate channels e.g. Relationship Managers, Mortgage Specialists and Investment Specialists
  • Providing advice and product information to customers as appropriate, outlining features and benefits of Citi's retail banking products
  • Help customers think through their whole banking relationship and understand how products fit together
  • Ensure current and prospective clients have a consistent, superior Citbanking experience through delivery of outstanding service
  • Monitor customers' sales from start to finish, delivering on promise, taking responsibility for resolving issues with orders or product sales
  • Keep up to date with new banking products and services; their features, benefits and details
  • Meet and exceed assigned referral, activity targets and balance sheet growth targets in line with current scorecard
  • Actively participate in marketing campaigns and activities and maintain a database of prospects for tracking and analysis
  • Comply with internal and external established policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and security of bank and client assets and information
  • Maintain a high standard of ethics and conduct for sound banking operations, business success and the bank's reputation
  • Action day-to-day operational and administrative tasks as assigned by the Sales/Branch Manager
  • Adhere to all applicable requirements established by Citi to ensure they are fully committed to its AML/CTF and/or sanctions compliance responsibilities as set out in the relevant Citi Global, Regional and/or Australian AML/CTF and/or Sanctions Policies, Procedures, Standards, Directives and Programs


Qualifications and Experience required:
  • Degree or vocational qualification in business or finance related subject is desirable
  • RG146 Tier 2 accredited in Cash and Deposit taking, general insurance and Advisor skills
  • A proven track record of selling quality retail products to a mass market is highly desirable
  • Highly motivated and energetic sales professional - retail banking, retail and telecoms sales is highly desirable
  • A strong customer service quality
  • The ability to deal with a high traffic of customers is desirable
  • A strong understanding of current sales processes and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills
