Senior Technical Consultant (Sydney or Melbourne)

Job Summary:
With expertise in specific business process, provide technical guidance to client concerning business implications of applications of various systems. Formulate systems scope and objectives considering client business plan and industry requirements.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand existing customers' and prospects' business problems
  • Analyze and gather the customer requirements
  • Project Manage small/medium client implementation projects
  • Configure the solution to match the needs of the customer
  • Manage customer expectations
  • Communicate with the internal and external stakeholders
  • Interested individuals should have excellent judgment, as demonstrated by their professional experience, domain expertise and academic achievements
  • Ideally the candidate will also possess direct experience in the wholesale/institutional credit risk industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Essential Technical Skills Required:
  • Excellent object-oriented programming skills, Delphi and C# desirable but not mandatory
  • Excellent proficiency in SQL Server
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially MS-Excel
  • Must possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, as position demands a high level of interaction with Client's/FIS's consultants and senior management of Client/FIS
  • Ability to write business requirements and specifications
  • Ability to lead a team of consultants.

Desirable Technical Skills Required:
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server-side technologies (Windows, IIS, .Net, Web Services NLB, Failover clustering, COM+)
  • Strong knowledge supporting of Microsoft SQL (Reporting Services exposure highly regarded)

Educational Requirements:

Banking, Business or IT Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
