Accounting practice manager job opportunity in Melbourne
Your new company

Operating as a market leading accounting firm in Melbourne's Inner West for more than 70 years, our client provides a suite of business services including tax, wealth management and corporate compliance to small to medium sized businesses. The demands of our growing business means that a new position, in a full-time, permanent practice manager leading a team of 5 has become available.

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced practice manager or team leader to work alongside the directors to improve the performance of existing systems and workflows, leading to higher efficiency, profitability and best practice. You will assist the team in the day to day running of operations through:
  • Liaison with other functions of the business to ensure profitability
  • Engaging in strategy and career development of team members including regular performance appraisals
  • Producing weekly and quarterly reports to board members
  • Hands on leadership through cash flow management
  • Oversight of key business systems
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in senior or leadership roles in an accounting firm
  • Proficiency with accounting software including MYOB AE, Xero and XPM.
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of ASIC
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Ability to think outside the box and be results driven
