The purpose of the Simplification, Centre of Expertise is to radically simplify our products, processes and systems to provide experiences that delight while reducing cost and complexity.

You will be working in a team of specialist process engineers to uplift process engineering capability across Australia Division. This work is critical in order to simplify and industrialise key banking processes in preparation for the broader business transformation

As a Product Owner you will enable and inspire a multi-disciplinary squad focused on process efficacies. Bringing your Agile Delivery experience e you will prioritise tasks and the squad’s backlog with the customer at the heart of their decision making. The Product Owner also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the COE mission and engages with other Product Owners to align and manage interdependencies.

Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is an influencing role - galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace.

What you bring to the Simplification, Centre of Expertise?

First and foremost we’re looking for someone who is a lean specialist and has the ability to lead/inspire a team of process engineering professionals. From here you will bring;
  • Demonstrable experience in lean process design principles to E2E processes
  • An ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at different levels within the organization
  • Previous delivery of improvement initiatives
  • An ability to enjoy and thrive within ambiguity and bring people along a journey towards a solution/design.
