Leading Global Fund Manager - Institutional Distribution - Melbourne Based - 5-8 years sales or investment related experience

As an exceptionally well positioned Global Fund Manager, our client has enjoyed considerable success in Australia. With teams in place in both Melbourne and Sydney, the business continues to grow as a result of the calibre and performance of their products. The Australian business to date has covered the breadth of liquid and illiquid fixed income credit markets and now includes global equities, real estate, and other alternatives.

The Institutional Distribution team has built an excellent client base in Australia, which continues to develop. As such, an opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to join the team and continue to execute on existing opportunities, to further develop the existing client base and to start to cross sell our broader capabilities and product suite.

Prior sales experience is not essential.  A candidate with either some sales experience within the funds management sector, or a demonstrable aptitude for sales, is well placed to be considered. In addition, a deep understanding of investing is critical along with the desire to work within a sales led environment.

Ideally you will have 5-8 years of relevant experience, possibly within Funds Management sales in institutional or wealth/ retail sectors, working within an Asset Consultant, in Structured Product or Fixed Income sales, or working within an institutional fund as an Investor.  Tertiary qualifications are essential, and a CFA qualification would be highly regarded. Cultural fit is critical to success, and the team has a highly collaborative, client centric approach.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career and progress further within the firm.   This represents an exceptional opportunity to join a highly successful, driven organisation that is keen to develop and retain the very best talent.
