Data Services is focused on delivering enterprise solutions that makes the right data accessible to our people and customers through tools and channels to drive faster and more informed decision making, removing friction and ultimately delivering a world class customer experience.

Data Lifecycle Evolution
Data Lifecycle Evolution Tech Area is responsible for building excellence across the Data Services domain by delivering Lean system improvements across the data lifecycle, utilising latest technologies and innovative approaches, to support the delivery teams to reduce cycle times and improve quality

We engineer, design, build, test and support applications to support and enable other Tech Areas in the Data Services Domain. We work closely with squad members to ensure outcomes meet customer expectations.

What you bring to Data Lifecycle Evolution as an Engineer

  • You have a number of years (ideally 3 ) experience as a software engineer, in one or more of the following focus areas:
    • Developing light touch CI/CD frameworks and supporting delivery accelerators
    • Developing first class automated test frameworks
    • Establishing design standards, pattern, and metadata driven templates on large scale data platforms (e.g. Data Warehouse or Big Data platforms)
  • Expertise in the use of CI/CD tools including the Atlassian suite (GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA, Bamboo), UDeploy, Maven and/or test tools including .
  • Hands-on programming experience (e.g. Java, Python, Ruby)
  • Expertise in delivering CI/CD frameowkrs, test frameworks, or build patterns on at least 2 of:
    • Hadoop stack (HDFS, Spark, Hive, Impala, YARN, Hbase, Solr, Kafka, Flume)
    • Java based application
    • Enterprise Data Warehouse platforms incorporating Teradata, Datastage, and Unix
    • External Cloud hosted data solutions (preferable GCP)
    • Control-M

  • You have a thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies bringing benefits into the Tribe
  • Pays attention to the detail and demonstrates problem solving capability to develop and deliver quality solutions
  • Understanding of current state landscape and relevant technologies
