We have multiple Data Analyst roles available in the Forensic Capability Squad. The mission of the Forensic Capability Squad is to enhance and embed the way Home Loans use data to proactively ensure our products are operating in alignment with our customers’ expectations. This includes the technical development, automation and ongoing execution model for the Home Loans Forensic suite in partnership with Product Excellence and Prevention & Detection squads.

Our Data Analysts deeply understand the power of data to generate quality customer insight, manage information, identify trends and make decisions.

What might a 'day in the life' look like
  • Source data from a variety of sources to combine, synthesise and analyse to generate insights
  • Address and solve complex business issues using large amounts of data
  • Quickly understand the behaviour (expected/unexpected) of large data sets
  • Draw out insights and present outcomes for data driven decision making
  • Translate business rules and product collateral into functional data requirements and product forensic tests
  • Clearly communicate and present ideas and outcomes to technical and non-technological stakeholders
  • Implement a fact-based culture throughout the bank; Fact base will contain Customer, Operational, Commercial, Market place, Regulatory inputs aligned to business objectives
  • Actively participate in daily standups, Sprint Planning, Showcases and Retrospective ceremonies

What will be in your toolkit?
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for analysis and data manipulation (e.g. SQL, Teradata)
  • Data visualisation skills (e.g. QlikSense, Tableau, BI)
  • Experience developing and building dashboards
  • Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve the level of insight surfaced
  • Strong business acumen to translate data insights into practical and actionable recommendations
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in the use of Jira, Confluence
  • Strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills
  • Home Lending knowledge and experience is advantageous but not mandatory
