The mission of the Enterprise Risk Technology Service (ERTS) Tech Area is to provide cutting edge risk management services, across all divisions to deliver a better banker and customer experience leveraging data and business rule focused solutions.

As a Tech Area Architect in the Enterprise Risk Tech Area you will define the architecture for the Area, plan the architectural runway to support upcoming sprints, design/evaluate solutions and provide technical expertise to squads.
To be successful in this role you need to bring your understanding of how risk management activities are used within the banking environment and apply that to the business and tech landscape. This role will require you to bring the business and tech landscape together to achieve the Tech Areas agenda.

What you bring to the Tech Area:
First and foremost we are looking for an experienced Architect who has extensive experience in bringing their retail banking process knowledge and understanding how to develop practical yet innovative technical solutions. From here you will bring:
  • Experienced in end to end banking processes and how they relate to the customer journey (including experience/knowledge in service design / human centered design)
  • Deep understanding of how risk management activities are used within the banking environment, including an overarching understanding of the impacts that legislation and regulations have on operations
  • Ability to breakdown complex business problems and build coherent solutions to these problems, leveraging off people, process, data and technology
  • Understanding of legacy solutions that solve risk management problems in the banking industry and what up to date solutions look like to solve these problems
  • Experience in building service based solutions that consider complex data manipulation and event based orchestration
  • Experience in use of cloud platforms to build platform and software solutions to solve business problems
