Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
The Transaction Services team within Australia Wealth Management Operations is responsible for supporting all transactional level functions for the Australia Wealth Management business. The role will sit within a team whom support the Margin Lending, Term Deposit, Equity and Option Trade Bookings, Equity and Option Settlement, Corporate Actions, Capital Markets, Journals functions and Cash Transfer processes. Your role will specifically support the payments and journals initiation and daily task / management functions with potential for cross skilling / training and support to further areas as the required within the Transaction Services team, You will be responsible for working with Operations colleagues in Australia and Asia, and work with the Business to service their requirements in these areas. The candidate should have sound trade life-cycle knowledge and experience in a similar role.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring all daily processes and SLAs are met within applicable timeframes
Initiation/Input of payments, journals and other transactions
Identifying process improvements
Maintaining a culture of high performance and excellent service for both internal and external clients

Qualifications / Experience Required
Desirable tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce.
Minimum 3 years financial markets experience.
Understanding of regulatory rules and how they apply to the business
