Our purpose in the Technology Operations Domain is to enable greater customer experience through stability and continuity of IT operational services, whilst driving efficiency with transparent and standardised tools and insights. Our vision is to be a trusted advisor to the ANZ Divisions, IT Domains and Governing bodies on the performance of the IT operations, systems and services.

In the Software License Management Squad we obtain control and management of the Bank’s software assets to reduce risk, unnecessary spend, improved global compliance and unified processes, to drive the best business outcome for the customer. We mitigate and manage software licensing compliance related risks, manage software vendors, contracts and associated obligations .We are Subject Matter Experts in the complex specialisation of software licensing & asset management. In addition we optimise software licensing, and contracts, resulting in the best outcome financially, reputational, and contractually.

What might a 'day in the life' look like?
  • Manage license entitlements in FlexNet Management Suite
  • Regularly review entitlements against deployments and work through any required remediation
  • Support the team supplying regular reporting requests
  • Work with the relevant functions to manage authorised & unauthorised apps including calling out any required process changes
  • Work with the data team to remediate any data quality issues
  • Facilitate packaging requests and changes
  • Be a subject matter expert for software licensing
  • Updating license management plans
  • General Software asset management tasks
What will be in your toolkit?
  • Experience in one or more Analyst roles previously e.g. Process Analyst, System Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Operations Analyst
  • Experience in translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
  • A desire to continuously learn autonomously about new techniques / technologies and bring innovative ideas into the Squad
  • A technically orientated business analyst with Software Licensing subject matter expertise and good understanding of IT Asset Management
  • Strong understanding of the systems to support IT asset management
  • Excellent understanding of the data required to support software asset management
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements in to a technology solution
  • Strong understanding of how technology supports the business
  • Experience with FlexNet Management Suite (FNMS)
  • Understanding of ITSM best practices (ITIL foundation knowledge)
  • Understanding of IT Asset Management & Configuration Management practices
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management tooling including inventory agents and managers
