Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-respected and highly regarded employer of choice in their industry, boasting an outstanding office location on St Kilda Road, easily accessible by car or public transport.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team environment where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accurate and timely execution of accounts payable procedures across the business. The organisation offers a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

This position is offered on an initial 3-month temporary contract commencing ASAP

The Role

Working within a friendly team environment your varied role will include:

• Processing of invoices and staff reimbursements
• Processing of Direct Debits, BPAYs, International & Ad-hoc Payments
• Processing credit card transactions; managing the reconciliation & approval functions.
• Bank account reconciliations
• Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs
• Assisting with end of month, e.g., preparing direct debit accruals
• Managing the accounts e-mail inbox

Your Profile

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 12 month's experience in a high-volume transactional environment. You will need to demonstrate prior practical experience working with ERP accounting software, as well as possess an intermediate level of Excel skills (pivot tables/ V-lookups).

Excellent communication skills, a customer service approach, and the ability to work to deadlines are also required.
