Contract to 31 December for Business Analyst with Gold Coast employer of choice. Large digital transformation. Your new company
Hays Technology are currently partnered with a Gold Coast employer of choice.

We require a Business Analyst to join our client, commencing ASAP, on a large digital transformation program. This role will be required on site, with only adhoc days offsite. Due to the nature of the program, there is strong potential for extension for a high performer.

Your new role
In this role, you will join a large program focused on the modernisation of Library services across the region including software, hardware, LMS and CRM systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Planning and scoping required business analysis activities
  • Current state and future state mapping
  • Gathering of functional and non-functional requirements
  • Coordinating and facilitating structured focus groups, workshops and interviews
  • Creating test plans and test cases (alongside dedicate Test Managers)
  • Consulting and liaising with Organisational Change Analysts to support plans for organisational areas impacted by the delivery of program and project outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with Project Managers, identified customer representatives and technical specialists to ensure the timely delivery of outcomes and the identification of business risks
  • Quality Assurance of business analysis activities
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in a formal Business Analyst role, preferably with experience on IT or technical projects
  • Strong requirement gathering skills including functional and non-functional requirements
  • Proven knowledge of testing, including assisting in the creation of test plans, and coordinating test activities with dedicated Testing teams
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate structured focus groups, workshops and interviews (big or small)
  • Ability to understand the technical components of a system/equipment/solution
  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to break down a complex information or research request and provide recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
  • Ability to educate and information non-technical stakeholders
Previous experience working in a similar role within the Public Sector would be advantageous. Formal training and certification (such as BABOK/CBAP) would be highly desirable.

This opportunity offers you a rate of $90/hour + superannuation, an initial contract to 31 December and the opportunity to work on a large digital transformation centrally located on the Gold Coast. Please note, due to the nature of the program, you will be required on site for this role.
