About The Role
  • Role Location: 89-91 Surf Parade, Broadbeach (Flexibility available for right candidate at 111 Eagle Street, Brisbane )

Your role as a Relationship Manager is to manage and grow a portfolio of accounts through client acquisition, cross-sell and referrals with lending limits up to $35M. A key part of the role is retaining profitable existing customers by consistently meeting or exceeding their expectations through superior customer service.
You will acquire new customers as well as grow and retain your portfolio of customers by collaborating with product specialists, Credit Executive and other stakeholders to ensure an effective and value adding strategy is identified for customer and new prospects whilst minimising all potential risks to ANZ. You are expected to clearly understand the performance history and future plans of each portfolio at all times and will work directly with our customers and Credit Executives to complete the broader credit assessment function and ensure an optimal 'well managed' portfolio.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Identifying and engaging with strategic new business customers and leveraging network/industry contacts to grow the portfolio
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the industry and associated markets and how any changes may impact our client base
  • Completing analysis of medium to long term prospects of customers and industries in the current economic and competitive context
  • Completing annual and periodic review of customers' operating and financial performance
  • Making prudent credit proposal recommendations which clearly demonstrate the financial impact of credit decisions upon customers and the Bank.
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring the following:
  • Tertiary Qualification in a business related field
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment skills (background of sound business lending)
  • Strong communication skills, and excellent customer focus
  • Demonstrated people management and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of small / medium business needs and expectations and abilities to originate new business
  • Ability to work autonomously and with a team, with proven analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills
  • Use your network of industry contacts to help achieve business strategy goals
