About the Opportunity
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Change Manager to help drive one of our key engagements in the mining, oil and gas industry. This is a long term, permanent role based in Brisbane. As a Change Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. You will collaborate with Cognizant and Client teams to deliver effective and sustainable project / organisational outcomes, though using a structured change management approach.
As part of the role, you will also be required to focus on the people side of change - including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisation structures. You will also be required to act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of a change sponsor. You may also provide direct support and coaching to frontline managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
What does success look like?
To be successful, you will ideally have/be:
  • Minimum five years' experience in structured change management, preferably with a mining customer
  • Experience in change management for Cloud adoption programs preferred
  • Experience in change management targeting technology and technology leadership stakeholders preferred
  • Accustomed to leading change management activities in IT/Business/Transformation environments
  • Prosci, APMG or other change management certification desirable
  • IT transformation/Cloud transformation experience good to have
  • Ability to work cohesively with distributed team and stakeholders
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate into client cultures and analyse immediate and long-term challenges and priorities
  • Confident in presenting to all levels of staff up to senior managers
