We are looking for a Portfolio Administrator to join our Real Estate Securities and Income Solutions (RESIS) team in Philadelphia. This is a unique opportunity to join a small team of portfolio managers working side by side with other Delaware Investments equity teams as well as members of the fixed income team, utilizing a bottom-up, fundamental approach to analysis. This is an entry-level role with the ability to grow into an investment analyst/portfolio manager role over time.

The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the RESIS investment team and Delaware Investments' trade operations, traders, investment accounting, and compliance
  • Draft, edit monthly/quarterly investment commentaries
  • Perform administrative duties in support of the team

Responsibilities:
  • Receive and execute trades
  • Perform daily reconciliations to ensure orders were properly filled and allocated
  • Monitor daily cash positions
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of client portfolios to ensure management to objectives, portfolio guidelines, and models
  • Coordinate semi-annual broker vote
  • Serve as main point of contact for proxy-related issues
  • Work in conjunction with Delaware's Quantitative team in the design and implementation of analyses of the team's portfolios, individual holdings and overall market trends
  • Assist in daily office management, including:
    • Answering phones
    • Travel coordination

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Demonstrated prior interest in financial services or asset management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with professionals at all levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and team orientated
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Capability to play an active part in improving day-to-day procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent judgement and problem solving skills; escalate issues as appropriate
  • Familiarity with order management systems (OMS)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
