Broker Dealer Services Representative - Delaware Investments

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is part of the Delaware Investments Broker Operations group, and has responsibility for providing service, support and oversight of our back office relationships with Intermediaries that distribute the Delaware Investments mutual funds. The role has interaction with back office personnel from Intermediaries such as Broker Dealers, Banks and TPA's, as well as BNY Mellon Transfer Agent and internal departments such as Product, Sales, Legal and Compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Intermediary Servicing and Oversight
    • Manage functions related to Intermediary Oversight including the review of audit reports provided by intermediaries, maintaining dealer profiles, and other risk assessment functions related to Intermediary processing.
    • Coordinating Back Office communications to inform intermediaries of corporate actions, fund policies and other events occurring at the Fund.
    • Manage functions related to Intermediary Servicing, including point of contact for Back Offices for service and support of operational functions such as completing fund setup forms and specification packages received from intermediaries, answering surveys, and other inquiries specific to back office processing of mutual funds.
    • Maintain back office intermediaries contact database.
    • Update/maintain documentation of policies and procedures relating to intermediary oversight.

  • Frequent Trade Monitoring
    • Responsible for support trade monitoring functions related to Delaware's policies regarding Frequent Trading including:
    • Daily review of potential frequent trading reports provided BNY Mellon Full Service.
    • Weekly review of identified potential market timing and frequent trading with Compliance.
    • Field internal questions regarding policy and procedures of monitoring of frequent trading activity.
    • Provide quarterly reporting to Compliance.

  • Transfer Agency (TA) Oversight related to NSCC processing
    • Daily monitoring of oversight reports and service levels of BNY Mellon Full Service.
    • Respond to telephone calls and emails from BNY Mellon Full Service related to NSCC trade rejects, Blue Sky items and Intermediary back office inquires.
    • Monitor and support large dollar trading notifications and procedures
    • Update/maintain documentation of policies and procedures relating to TA oversight.

  • DTCC Services/Mutual Fund Profile
    • Maintain information related to Delaware Investments Funds on the DTCC Mutual Fund Profile II site. Update variances when notified and meet with Legal, Compliance and Product annually to ensure information reflected is accurate.
    • Work with DTCC on questions they may have related to information populated on the Mutual Fund Profile II site.
    • Correspond with DTCC on other NSCC related processes and services.

  • Maintain good working relationship with internal departments such as Compliance, Legal, Product, Marketing and Operations Departments.
  • Special Projects as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in Financial Services
  • Knowledge of mutual fund and BackOffice operations helpful
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
  • Must work well in a deadline-oriented environment and be adaptable to shifting priorities.
