The role will be primarily focused on the support and buildout of our market leading ISDA Amend product and the further development of all global regulatory compliance initiatives e.g. MIFID II, FX Code of Conduct, etc.

Department Overview

Markit Counterparty Manager is an on-line platform for the sharing of KYC, AML and counterparty documentation between buyside and sellside firms. Kyc.com & MCPM is a growth product where there has been rapid expansion in the number of clients supported and also the number of documents sourced and supported, including ISDA Amend and Tax related services for global regulatory compliance. MCPM’s centralised online environment decreases the reliance on email and paper-based interaction. The platform stores over 250 document types that are organised into 20 categories. Audit functions and reporting allow firms to verify the source and destination of documents on the system. Since counterparty documentation and agreements are part of every stage of a trading relationship, MCPM is the ideal tool for front, middle and back office documentation processes covering KYC, Tax, Dodd-Frank, Legal, AML and Credit. The MCPM team is split across multiple locations, London, New York, Singapore and Delhi and covers Product Management, Development, Sales, Account Management and Operations.

Duties and Accountabilities

The role will have two core functions: Buyside and Sellside relationship management (sellside and buyside clients): The role will be to build and develop the buyside and sellside MCPM relationships. The product lead will ensure clients understand the strategic vision of MCPM, ISDA Amend and our regulatory products across the onboarding and regulatory eco-system and also help facilitate adoption and implementation. The role requires coordination amongst business functions, including sales, operations, product, as well as regular customer contact and presentations. Product Development and Analysis: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in business analysis, process modelling, workflow development and communication. The candidate should also possess strong analytical skills to help the team clearly understand the product requirements and deliver thoughtful, timely solutions. The candidate must be able to participate and lead ISDA run workshops, understand business requirements and challenge working group members on the appropriate implementation of a solution. The candidate must partner with the product teams to design a solution consistent with working group recommendations. Finally, the candidate must be actively involved in determining new opportunities in the regulatory space and keep close contact with clients to identify the next opportunity. Innovation is critical in the development of all of our technical solutions but gaining customer buyin and adoption is equally important.

Business Competencies

Education and experience • Experience in relationship management, client presentations, and influencing. • Practical experience with interaction between buyside and sellside back office operations including onboarding, settlements, tax, credit, loans and legal. • Have experience of managing projects from start to finish • Have the credibility and capability to work across all levels within an organization to drive adoption • Bachelor’s Degree or higher • 7 to 12 years experience • Experience in customer service and operations or relationship management Commercial awareness • Have an excellent client service ethos and be able to communicate effectively with priority clients and sales prospects. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Financial industry documentation and back office process awareness preferred Management requirements Ability to lead and influence teams globally
