Under the direction of the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager will lead medium- to large-sized projects for Investment Management and Investment Accounting from inception to implementation. The individual in this role will manage and oversee the full development process -- including turnover/migration to production -- and will be responsible for creating detailed project plans and monitoring project results while providing updates on any significant timeline deviations. The Project Manager will coordinate and document all work performed within the project life cycle, and must become familiar with the scope and objectives of each project.
The individual in this role should be an effective oral and written communicator who can lead meetings and deliver presentations to large groups. The individual will be responsible for producing project management documentation (business requirements, gap analysis, project plans, issues lists, management reporting) and should have excellent follow up skills and a high attention to detail.
- Define purpose, tasks, milestones, and budgets, and measure success against them
- Provide feedback/recommendations based on project definition and business requirements
- Document and maintain lists of project issues
- Ensure adherence to project management processes
- Ensure compliance to quality assurance policies
- Monitor delivery, and escalate issues and variances in timeline when necessary
- Lead the post-implementation review process to evaluate project results
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum 4 years of Project Management experience in the financial services industry focused on managing client expectations and implementing service improvement initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of the mutual fund industry
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
